Our tow dollies are an economical option for transporting a vehicle. The typical tow dolly has two wheels, an axle, and a tow hitch that is attached to the bumper of the pulling vehicle via a bumper mounted 2” ball coupler. Ramps allow the tow vehicle to be driven, pushed, or wenched onto the transport platform. Straps secure the vehicle by attaching around the front wheels of the vehicle that is being towed.

IMPORTANT: You should only tow a vehicle by its front wheels (those attached to the steering column). Failure to do so is very dangerous.
 

The Gatormade tow dolly is available in a non-brake unit and we offer electric brakes and surge brakes as options. There is 80” of clearance between the fenders and the axle is rate at 3,500 lb payload capacity. These dollies feature a powder coat finish and dual safety chains. Two 7,000 lb rated winching straps are included on all models.

Quite often tow dollies are referred to as tow trailers or tow trailer, car dollies or a car dolly.
